Japan is a rather peculiar country, especially when it comes to the crimes committed there, and we’ll shed light on this with the recent case that occurred in Gifu Prefecture.
Our suspect? A 54-year-old worker from the Gifu Prefecture Agricultural Technology Center. He was on the street when he spotted a high school girl sitting on the curb.
The man decided to approach the girl and assaulted her, causing her to fall. After the fall, he even spread the girl’s legs. Do you know why he committed this crime? He wanted to see her underwear.
He was fined for injuring the girl, with a penalty of 500,000 yen ($3,370.36). When explaining himself to the authorities, the criminal claimed that he was driving in his car when he saw the girl sitting.
He allegedly caught a glimpse of the girl’s underwear and, curious to see more, stopped his car and approached her, knocking her down and opening her legs.
Gifu Prefecture apologized to the public for the actions of its employee. In addition to the fine, the man received a 6-month suspension from his job.
